Cleaning Supervisor for Bus Shelters Cleaning
Location: Leeds, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Bradford, Keighley and Kirklees Area
Working Hours: 04:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 5 days a week / weekends possible
Salary: Competitive (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Send daily whereabouts evidence to the client by 7 AM, detailing the location and status of the team’s work.
- Plan daily routes for the bus shelter cleaning team and ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor staff performance and conduct regular cleaning audits to ensure high cleaning standards are maintained.
- Monitor vehicle usage, driving behaviour, and ensure vehicles are used efficiently.
- Respond to any extra visit/call-out requests from the client promptly.
- Assist with preparing and submitting the monthly reports to the client.
- Record evidence of shelter cleaning to achieve the three-weekly cleaning targets.
- Conduct training and retraining sessions with staff to improve performance and skills.
- Assist with HR-related tasks, including staff meetings and performance evaluations.
- Monitor and address staff behaviour and performance issues.
- Ensure necessary orders are placed for cleaning supplies, and ensure vehicle services, MOTs, and repairs are scheduled.
- Prepare weekly reports for the line manager and provide updates on operations as required.
- Be prepared to swap shifts with the Night Bus Station Cleaning Supervisor when needed.
- Oversee cleaning of the Leeds office and warehouse, ensuring standards are maintained.
- Plan and organize the weekly cleaning of vehicles, warehouse, and office.
- General cleaning duties including offices, meeting rooms, toilets, corridors and public areas
- Measuring and scoping the work required during your shift
- Litter picking on platforms, car parks and public areas
- Cleaning window frames, glazing, signage, seats, and surfaces
- Sweeping floors including platforms and entrances
- Emptying bins and removing waste
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients.
- Proficient in IT, with strong reading and writing skills in English.
- Good people management skills and the ability to train and motivate staff.
- Prior cleaning experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of the Leeds, Huddersfield, Kirklees, and Wakefield areas.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple tasks.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are preferred.
