The role

Carlisle Support Services is looking for a Communications Executive, to be responsible to steer the development and implementation of a comprehensive multi-channel strategy (from traditional media to social media) for internal and external communications for all business entities of Carlisle Support Services. The aim is to effectively communicate Carlisle’s narratives and services, enhancing reputation, increasing brand likeability, and visibility among various stakeholders including internal employees, media, prospects and existing customers, and general public.

Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:

    Develop and implement a forward-thinking external communications strategy aligned with the strategic objectives of the organisation, securing industry relevant media coverage.

    Develop and deliver upon an internal communication strategy and plan, which by its very essence, will be the lifeblood of communication throughout our organisation, providing an effective flow of information between team members bottom-up and top-down, helping to foster employee engagement, retention, and empowerment.

    Elevate Carlisle Support Services through the development and implementation of creative approaches to attract media’s attention and interest – through unique partnerships, tailor-made events or leaning into trends in a way that is authentic to the brand as well as alternative comms. materials.

    Oversee and manage the sign off process of all communications materials to ensure. consistency in the storyline, events, social media plans and other communications for both internal and external audiences.

    Organise high-profile events to enhance brand and service perception in the facilities sector and beyond.

    Serve as a brand ambassador, to establish and nurture strong connections with media outlets, journalists, and content creators to foster positive media coverage and secure interviews and feature stories to enhance Carlisle Support Services’ visibility.

    Remain informed about industry trends and beyond to produce regular thought leadership articles and white papers that enhance the brand’s equity and drive enquiries. 

    Oversee the efficient allocation of resources, including budget and technology, to support the communication strategy effectively and achieve budget targets.

    Maintain company-wide procedures for Marketing including Business and Social Networking and External Communication Policy.

    Work collaboratively with the creative team to develop creative briefs and guide direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets.

    Maintain and grow partnerships with chosen suppliers. 

    Oversee the efficient allocation of resources, including technology, to support the communication strategy effectively and achieve budget targets.

    Maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics.


The ideal candidate

    Ability to think creatively and strategically to see the bigger picture whilst retaining attention to detail alongside managing performance. 

    Ability to develop communication strategies to achieve campaign targets. 

    Creative thinker, skilled in adapting communication plans and the style of content for a range of audiences and channels (press releases, social media, e-mail marketing, speeches, media interviews).

    Knowledge of public relations strategies and tactics.

    Strong network of media contacts, particularly in the facilities industry.

    Experience with WordPress, as is an understanding of core SEO practices for on-page optimisation. 

    Experience with Adobe Design programmes including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premier Pro would be beneficial.

    Must have a recognised Marketing and / or business-related qualification.

    Demonstrable experience in marketing or communications.

    Experience with CRMs and paid LinkedIn activity would be beneficial.

    Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. 

This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.
