The role

Fixed Term Contract till July

Keen to develop your managerial skills, or take your first steps into a management role. You will support the Contract Manager in ensuring Carlisle Support Services successfully deliver its contractual operational targets for all event operations at Manchester Central, whilst ensuring full compliance to customer’s terms of business, service level agreements (SLA’s), health and safety requirements and legislation associated with the delivery of this service. 

Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:

Create and maintain a unified service delivery methodology for security based around the value of Carlisle Support Services and Manchester Central

Embrace and deliver an operation in line with the values of Manchester Central

Ensure service levels delivered adhere to our contract terms and client SLA’s

Schedule and roster all staff in line with Event requirements

Support Pre-Event briefings

Produce Pre-Event packs

Lead recruitment plan and complete interviews and inductions

Identify and introduce ways to improve service delivery that improve cost base and enhance customer/stakeholder satisfaction

Compliance

Review HSQE audits and complete actions

Manage sub-contractor compliance process

Ensure all security officers and stewards are deployed in line with the rigours of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 in terms of aligned licensing and training for officers and issues of screening for matters of safeguarding

Ensure all security officers have safe systems of work for all tasks undertaken which are communicated and understood by all team members and documented as being so.

Support CM in developing a standard training plan for all staff, including sub-contractors

Direct staff and monitor performance via an effective performance review process and managing any staff performance issues promptly and in line with HR guidelines

Act as an operational lead on major events where required and develop competent supervisors for small events

Create a positive environment and culture where employees choose to work

Responsibility for the correct payment of all staff including ensuring full compliance on holiday, bank holiday, arbitrations and sick pay

The ideal candidate

SIA Licensed

Excellent understanding of the UK Security industry

Knowledge and experience of running event operations (Desirable)

Knowledge and experience of dealing with physical and electronic security methods and measures

Excellent communication skills – articulate and focussed, proficient written skills, good listener

Ideally hold a full UK driving license

Flexibility around working hours and patterns

You should be personable and proactive 

You must be available to cover nights and Weekends

 

Days: Core Monday-Friday 9-5, flexible weekend work/evening for all Events as needed and with days off in lieu given.

Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. 

This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.
