The role
Carlisle Support Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced individuals to join our Project Support Team as Supervisors, supporting our prestigious clients nationwide. If you have a passion for cleaning, excellent attention to detail, and a drive to lead by example, this is your opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role with real career potential.
Location: Nationwide (Company vehicle provided)- The role may require some overnight stays away from home- accommodation provided
Hours: 40 Hours per week- working pattern will vary depending on project, this can include days and nights (mainly during the week- some weekends required as and when needed)- flexibility required
Pay: £15.70
Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:
- Leading and motivating a small cleaning team to deliver high standards across facilities including stations, waiting areas, washrooms, and other public spaces
- Delivering start-of-shift briefings and ensuring tasks are allocated effectively and in line with service standards
- Carrying out inspections and ensuring corrective action is taken when needed
- Supervising and carrying out general and specialist cleaning duties in line with the project specification
- Ensuring all cleaning equipment is properly checked, used, and maintained
- Recording all work via a handheld device and reporting issues accurately
- Completing all duties in accordance with rail safety regulations and internal procedures
- Remaining flexible with working hours and willing to travel and stay away from home when required (all expenses covered as per company policy)

- A confident team leader with a proactive and professional attitude
- Experienced in cleaning operations, ideally in transport or large public environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate others
- Tech-savvy enough to operate app-based systems and submit photo evidence of work
- Holds a valid UK driving licence for 2+ years with 6 points or less (for insurance purposes)
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions and flexible with working hours
Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This may include a passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, bank statement, payslip, birth certificate, or valid share code.
