The Department 

  • The protection of confidential information and prototype products is a priority as the exposure of such information can have far reaching commercial consequences
  • The impact of such unauthorised disclosures can affect sales and ultimately the profitability of the Company. 
  • The Reception & Access Control Administrator contributes to JLR’s Purpose and Vision of Modern Luxury by ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for our Employees, Visitors, Customers and Partners across a select number of UK based Manufacturing and Non-Manufacturing sites. 
  • The Reception & Access Control Administrator will be required to carry out pre-defined tasks and functions as well as maintaining an 'added value' approach to the work.

 

Detailed Reception & Access Control Administrator Responsibilities

  • To live CSS Core Values and the JLR Creator Codes and provide a service which exudes Modern Luxury, providing a seamless service, representing both CS&BP and JLR. To be an integral part of the Reception & Access Control Team, working closely with site-based stakeholders 
  • Employees, Visitors and Customers are welcomed and greeted with fairness 
  • Ensure all visitors are booked in on the JLR Visitor Booking System and met by and managed until departure by their Host 
  • Ensure all Employees, Visitors and Customers are familiar with the Site rules and safety behaviours 
  • Ensure a deep knowledge of the JLR Manufacturing and Non-Manufacturing sites in order to help Customers understand the broad operation of JLR across our UK Sites. 
  • Answering calls from internal and external Customers through the Switchboard 
  • The ability to react in an agile manner to business requirements 
  • Issuing Visitor badges 
  • Checking ID 
  • Processing vehicle passes and adding to database 
  • To fulfil and carry out the monthly On-boarding process 
  • Fire Marshall. To be responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for guests in the Reception Area 
  • Maintains safe and clean Reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations 
  •  Will document and maintain working practices in line with the JLR Way 
  • Managing the Issuing of ID cards, programming, assigning of access, review and de-activation of ID cards in accordance with the JLR Access Control Policy to ensure the protection of JLR Assets and Intellectual Property 
  • Running Access Control Reports 
  • Drive a Continuous Improvement approach within the Reception and Access Control Team

Experience: 

Essential 

  • Customer Service/Hospitality background 
  • Conflict Resolution or similar 
  • Excellent Team working 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Administration/IT – Filing, MS-O365 applications 
  • Switchboard/Telephony Skills 
  • Access Control 
  • Valid UK Driving License & Personal Transport 

 

Desired 

Background in Access Control / Access Management

Relationships & Interface: 

Interaction across many levels of the Company, with particular emphasis on direct Customer Groups 

Interaction with the "Customer" to ensure the service provision meets the expected standard

Is This You?

  • SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence
  • 5 years checkable work and address history
  • Reliable, punctual, flexible, and smart in appearance
  • Friendly, approachable, and always professional 
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to do a great job
  • Ideally some experience within a Security environment or a customer facing role
  • Able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner
  • Some experience working within a Security environment and working as part of a team
  • Effective people skills, able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner

Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include the following: passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, original payslip, birth certificate or a valid share code.
