Job Introduction
Carlisle Support Services security officers are charged with implementing the site security procedures and security of the exterior positions at Jaguar Land Rover.
As a highly valued client, it is our responsibility to deliver the best possible service and carry out our duties in line with Jaguar Land Rover’s site security policy.
Jaguar Land Rover have a requirement to be manned 24/7. Anyone applying for a role must meet the following criteria:
· Valid SIA license
· Willing to work days, nights and weekends across three different sites: Birmingham, Swadlincote & Atherstone.
· Drivers license and access to their own vehicle (No reliance on public transport)
The site is ever evolving so a degree of flexibility is needed.
Security Officers are expected to carry out a range of tasks whilst on duty, not limited to but including:
Site access/ egress control
Assisting and booking in site visitors
Vehicle searching
Personnel searching
Vehicle booking in/ out
Control of vehicular and pedestrian movement
Fault reporting
Incident reporting
Directing drivers and visitors around site
Using various site computer systems
CCTV monitoring
Liaise with key personnel on site
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Security industry experience is preferred but not essential.
Key aspects to the role are as follows:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language are essential
A good understanding of computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
Valid and in date SIA license (Close Protection, Door Supervisor, Security Guarding)
Must be able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Physical Requirements:
Security officers are required to work up to 12 hours per shift.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the site security procedures, assignment instructions and risk assessments.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance in line with the designated shift requirement set out by CSS management
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
