Carlisle Support Services security officers are charged with implementing the site security procedures and security of the exterior positions at Jaguar Land Rover.
As a highly valued client, it is our responsibility to deliver the best possible service and carry out our duties in line with Jaguar Land Rover’s site security policy.
Jaguar Land Rover have a requirement to be manned 24/7. Anyone applying for a role must meet the following
criteria:
· Valid SIA license
· Willing to work nights and weekends
· Drivers license and access to their own vehicle (No reliance on public transport)
·The site is ever evolving so a degree of flexibility is needed.
· Prevention Officer duties include, but are not limited to;
· Fire safety reviews conducted on a monthly basis for each area of the site
· Fire evacuation schedule conducted annually for each area of the site
· To administer hot work permits to mitigate the risk of fire
· Vulnerable area patrols
· Sprinkler system tests done on a weekly basis
· Fire alarm system tests done on a weekly basis
· Fire extinguisher maintenance and service
· Respond to and help control all emergency situations on site
· First Response, Emergency Care (FREC) medical response
· Respond to and control of any outbreaks of fire
· Assisting local authority emergency services
· Conducting vehicle and personnel searches
· Assisting in gate operations as and when required
· Assisting fire marshal training
· Maintenance checks on all equipment used in the role
· Any other reasonable requests made by JLR supervision / management
Successful applicants will be trained in FREC 3 and BAFE fire exstingusiher maintenance technician course these are nationally recognised qualifications, if you leave you may be subject to the cost of the course.
Candiate will be subject to a physical fitness test on interview – consisting of a 20m bleep test (shuttle run) to a level of 5.6.
Candiate will be subject to other assessments on interview – report writing, basic security and fire prevention knowledge.
Ability to flexible work across JLR contract for BAC and Mercia Park.
