 The role

Carlisle Support Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our team, working with our prestigious clients. If this sounds like you, and you’re willing to learn new skills to develop your career, we promise to provide full training and all the support you’ll need to help you to succeed.

Pay: £12.49 per hour 

Hours: Full time on a shift basis covering 5 days over 7 (Including 8am starts and midnight finishes) Please ensure you can get to and from the site including on weekends

Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:

You will be required to undertake uniformed duties within a disciplined environment.

  • To perform your duties on a client led operational roster, with the necessity of flexible approach to business needs.
  • To perform security searches of a train station.
  • To support the Merseyrail TravelSafe initiative.
  • To respond, manage and contain all security incidents in accordance with company expectations and standards.
  • To proactively deliver an excellent standard of customer service by offering support or assistance to all passengers, underpinned by an empathetic approach, with particular regard to vulnerable passengers.
  • To safeguard all vulnerable passengers until the responsibility for them can be handed over to the appropriate authorities.
  • To proactively strive to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) by pioneering a performance culture.
  • To provide high visibility public & staff reassurance patrols on the rail network and services.
  • To process and record all information accurately & comprehensively ensuring you adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • To adhere at all times to the Health & Safety policy.

 Is this you

  • At least 18 years old- Required to work in a Licensable role
  • SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence
  • 5 years checkable work and address history
  • Reliable, punctual, flexible, and smart in appearance
  • Friendly, approachable, and always professional 
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to do a great job
  • Ideally some experience within a Security environment or a customer facing role
  • Able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner
  • Some experience working within a Security environment and working as part of a team
  • Effective people skills, able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner

Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include the following: passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, original payslip, birth certificate or a valid share code.
