The role
Carlisle Support Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated individual to provide excellent service and support to our frontline employees, customers and future employees and ensure delivery of all tasks on each shift. To be the central point for Carlisle Support Services for all stakeholders.
Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:
Gather data from various sources, including Work IT systems and customer databases.
Ensure data quality by identifying and rectifying inconsistencies, missing values, and outliers.
Analyse datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations- specifically around penalty fares and incidents.
Translate data into actionable insights and advise on tactical and strategic direction.
Create visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to present findings clearly.
Responsible for producing accurate power point presentations.
Present data in a clear understandable format to a wide audience, include stakeholders.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to team scheduling, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
Monitor adherence to schedules, response times, and resource utilization.
Evaluate the impact of scheduling changes on overall performance metrics.
Build predictive models to anticipate demand, workload, and staffing requirements.
Forecast future resource needs based on historical data and external factors.
Collaborate with other teams to align scheduling with business goals.
Work closely with Operations Managers, and client stakeholders to understand business requirements.
Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
To provide data to the customer to show that Carlisle is meeting all operational obligations across the service
The ideal candidate
Ideally a background in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Analyst, SQL proficiency) are advantageous.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
A understanding of and interest in the Rail Sector
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes.
This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.
