 The role

Carlisle Support Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our team, working with our prestigious client, Manchester United. If this sounds like you, and you’re willing to learn new skills to develop your career, we promise to provide full training and all the support you’ll need to help you to succeed.

Location: Sir Matt Busby Way, Old Trafford, Manchester M16 0RA 

Pay: £14.50 per hour 

Hours: Working on a casual basis on match/event days you have the ability to be flexible around your current commitments.

Please be aware that this is not a full time role, colleagues have the flexibility to choose and book their own shifts for home games or Ad-hoc events at the stadium - however - we are seeking candidates who can commit to working a minimum of 75% of fixtures at this venue- this will include the opportunity to work a minimum of 20 home games per season

Football and events take place evenings and weekends only.

Your core role will be to ensure the safety and security of everyone. This could include, but not be limited to;

  • Overseeing and supervising the team
  • Scanning tickets
  • Directing spectators
  • Monitoring crowds
  • Managing queues

We have excellent progression routes available, including Supervisory level roles, and similar roles at some of our other event venues. If wanted, we are also able to offer opportunities to work at some of our iconic event venues across the UK, including similar roles at venues in Huddersfield, Burnley and Liverpool - as well as further afield if you are willing to travel (funded).

As event supervisor you must hold, already be enrolled on or be willing towards Level 3 NVQ in Spectator Safety ( we will fund this and enrol you on the course).


 The ideal candidate

Reliable, punctual, flexible, and smart in appearance

Friendly, approachable, and always professional 

Enthusiastic and motivated to do a great job

Experience in a Supervisor position within an events environment 

Able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner

Level 3 certificate in Spectator Safety, or willingness to obtain the qualification (This will be a requirement if hired, but we will fund this for you)

Willing to work at other Carlisle Events venues across the region (desirable)

 Successful candidates will need to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.
