The role
Carlisle Support Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our Merseyrail team, working with our prestigious client . If this sounds like you, and you’re willing to learn new skills to develop your career, we promise to provide full training and all the support you’ll need to help you to succeed.
This is a temporary role covering until the end of 2024, with the potential to be extended beyond that into 2025.
Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:
- Providing guidance, information and directing customers as a first point of contact
- Providing an excellent level of service knowledge and customer service
- To assist passengers with prams/luggage etc as required
- Managing and following safety and security processes and procedures
- Monitoring and controlling crowds
- Ensuring safe entry and exit of passengers
- Managing conflict and resolving problems
- Working as part of a team
- For the Early shift, You will need to be able to get into the City Centre for a 05:30 start

- Reliable, punctual, flexible, and smart in appearance
- Friendly, approachable, and always professional
- Enthusiastic and motivated to do a great job
- Ideally some experience in a customer service environment or a customer care role
- Able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner
Successful candidates will need to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include the following: passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, original payslip, birth certificate or a valid share code.
